Booths and Sheds where they have acted such plays and Duoll [..]
and carried on and encouraged diver's kinds of unlawful Play
and Gaming which hath manifestly tended to the Encourage [..]
of Vice and Immorality and to the debauching and Ruining of
Servants. Apprentices and others and also to the disturbance of [..]
Public Peace by occasioning Quarrils Riots Tumults and
other disorders which players of Interludes are by Law deem [..]
and declared Rogues and Vagabonds and the Asking of such
Plays Drolls and other Shows and the Keeping of Publick
Gaming Tables or Gaming Houses as contrary to the Laws and
statutes of this Realm For the Preventing of which
mischiefs for the future it is thought fit and ordered by this [..]
that it be and it is hereby recommended and referrred his
Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex
residing within the said Respective Divisions in which the said
Fairs above specifyed or any of them are holden or to any two or
more of them by warrant or Order to be granted under their han [..]
and Seals as often as they shall think needful to order and requ [..]
the High Constable of that Division in which such fairs or any
of them are holden and wherein such Justices reside to summ [..]
and take to his assistance from time to time the several Petty
Constables and Headboroughs within the said Division, where
this Court doth require to aid and assist him therein or so m [..]
of them as he shall think sufficient for this Purpose and that
the said High Constable with such Petty Constables and
Headboroughs whom he shall so take to his assistance [..]
his and their Best Endeavours to prevent and suppress
said fairs and all other unlawful fairs within their [..]
and also that he and they do apprehend all and every [..]
of Interludes Players or Drolls and other persons who sh [..]
Act Exhibit or shew any such interludes Players or Droll [..]
or play ar or encourage or procure any unlawfully Game
a Games to be played at in any Play house, Booth, Shed [..]
Place in or near such fair or fairs And that the said High
Constable and Petty Constable and Headbroughs as his [..]
assistants do carry all and every person or persons so offend
before one or more of His Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
said County, to the end they may to punished according [..]
and to prevent and suppress as much as in them lies, all
Tipling and Selling of Liquors in any unlicensed House [..]
Shed or Place where such fair or fairs are holden And for the
more effectual Suppressing the Grievances aforesaid, it is [..]
