By adjournment same Day.
It is ordered that the thanks of this Court be given to
Boulton Mainwaring< no role >
Esquire
one of his Majesty's Justices
of the peace for this County for his case and trouble and
expences in the surveying of the Works lately done at
Chertsey and Brentford
Bridges And it being moved
that the said Mr. Mainwaring be desired to accept
of the Sum of Fifty Pounds out of the public stock of
this county as a gratuity for such his Care and trou-
ble and as a satisfaction for such Expences It is
Ordered that he be desired to accept of the said
Sum And that John Hawkins< no role >

. the Chairman
of the Sessions be and he is hereby desired to ac-
quaint the said Mr. Mainwaring therewith immediate-
ly.
Memorand. Mr. Chairman acquainted Mr. Mainwaring
in the room adjoining the great dining room with the Court's
request whereupon Mr. Mainwaring acquainted the Coet.
that he did not accept of the £50. but that he should
expect to be paid a Sum equal to the rate of £5.
P cemb. of the charge of the works, for his expence
and trouble, as a Surveyor.
