September.

To all such 2 Inch Oak plank as shall be
wanted without Sap or wain at Perfoot
Superficial all Labour and spikes included

All the aforesaid Work to be done in the best Workman
like manner and of the best materials of every kind all the
Timber be cut square without Sap or wain under and by the
directions inspection and to the satisfaction of Boulton
Mainwaring Esqr . Surveyor and in case any materials of
any short shall at any time be brought upon the Premises
to be used in the Building or Repairs that in the Judgment
of the said Surveyor shall not be a good and fit for the use
intended, and upon Notice given in Writing to the Contractor
or his Foreman employed in the Buildings or Repairs to
remove the same and not immediately complyed with then
it may be lawful for the said Surveyor to Cart and carry
away all such bad Materials to where he shall think
proper and that the said Surveyor shall not be answerable
or accountable for any loss or Damage that shall or may
happen, to any such materials after the same shall be
so removed and carried away as aforesaid and that all
Expences attending such removal Carting or carrying away
shall be deducted and Slopt out of the Monies due to the
Contractor on account of the said Buildings or Repair
