Oath the said Thomas Hardwick< no role > is to stand absolutely discharged from being
High Constable of the Hundred of Elthorne aforesaid

By adjournment on Thursday the 29th day of April 1756

Whereas Josiah Room< no role > exhibited his humble Petition unto this Court setting forth
that he hath served the Office of High Constable within the Hundred of Isleworth
within the County of Middx for the space of three years And the Petitioner Praying
that he may be discharged from his said Office This Court being Satisfied of the truth
of the Premisses doth upon the Recomendation of Richard Bulstrode< no role > & John Derbyshire
Birkhead
< no role > Esqrs. two of his Maties Justices of the Peace for of the County aforesaid
appoint John Rogers< no role > of
within the Hundred & County aforesaid to be High Constable of the sd. Hundred
in the Place stead of the said Josiah Room< no role > And this Court doth order that the said
John Rogers< no role > do forthwith (after Notice of this Order) attend one of his Majestie
Justices of the peace of this County residing in or near the said Hundred & take
his Oath for the due Execution of his said Office of High Constable in the said
Hundred & from & after the time of his having taker such Oath the said Josiah
Room is to Stand absolutely discharged from being High Constable for the
Hundred of Isleworth aforesaid

Present at the next Sessions}

It is Ordered by this Court That a Letter be written by the Clerk
of the Peace unto Joseph St. Lawrence Esquire to acquaint him that
his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx Assembled
at this Present Sessions desire that he would dine with the Chairman
and other Gentleman in the Commission of the Peace for the said County
of Middx at Hicks Hall on the Next County Day being Thursday
the Third day of June next And after Dinner to Answer a Complaint
made to the the Justices last Sessions touching his Bailing the Commitments
of Other Justices contrary to a Recommendatory Order of Sessions.
