Sessions of the Peace that Boulton Mainwaring< no role > Esquire would be Surveyor
of the Work & repairs to be done to the aforesaid part of the said Bridge
as Soon as the Season of the Year would permitt, and that he should take
to his Assistance such able Workman or workmen as he should think proper
And to make An estimate as near as he could of the whole Charge of
repairing the same, Now Forasmuch as this Court is of opinion
that the said repairs should be done as soon as conveniently may be
It is Ordered that it be published in a publick paper called the Darley
Advertiser or some other publick News Paper that this Court
pursuant to the Statute is Such Case made and provided doth
give Notice to all workmen that are Willing to contract for repairing
the said Bridge that a particular of the repairs wanting and Necessary
to be done to the said Bridge is best with Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer
of the said County at his house in Southampton Buildings Chancery
Lane, Where Any Workmen may apply and take a Copy of the
said particular in Order to make their proposalls for the doing
the said Several Works thereby Specifyed, and Such Workmen as
Shall be willing to contract for the reparation of the said Bridge
Are desired to leave their Proposals Sealed up with the said Mr Huggs
On or before the eighth day of May neat And this Court doth
further Order that it be and It is hereby recommended and referred
unto his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace of this County here master

Such other Justices of the peace As will please to be present or
Any three or heard of them as a Committee to meet together
At Hicks hall in St. John Street on Thursday the Ninth day of
May next At ten of the Clock in the forenoon to receive the
Proposalls of Such Workmen as are willing to Contract for
repairing the Said Bridge and to take An Authentick Contract
in Writing from them or Such of them Under their hands and
Seals as the said Committee shall think proper for repairing
the Middx part of the said Bridge in a Substantial and
Workman like Manner, And for finding and useing Good Sound
& Sufficient timber & other Materials for doing the said repairs,
And to make their Report in Writing touching the premisses
to the Court of the next General Sessions of the peace for
this County.
