paid to her by the Said Thomas Cavenagh< no role > he dying insolvent
and there will be also due and owing unto the Said present
Matron the further Sum of fifty Shillings for doing & performing
the Said Busyness of Matron for one Quarter more at Christmas
next, which two Sums of fifty Shillings amount together to the
Sum of five Pounds, which this Court is of opinion ought to be
made good and answered to her out of the County Rate Money,
Edward Hollybone< no role > the present Keeper of New Prison having
not reced any Profit from the Same, It is therefore Ordered
by this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County do pay
the Said Sum of five Pounds unto the Said Ann Style< no role > in full
of her Said Salary to Christmas aforesaid, whose Receipt
together with this Order Shall be a Sufficient Discharge to the
Said Treasurer for Such payment.

By adjournment on Thursday the sixth day of Decr. 1750

Order for Mr. Higgs the
Treasurer to pay 2s.5d
to Mr. Eliz: Applebee for
printing certificates on
account of the distempered
Cattle Etc

It is Ordered by this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of
this County do pay unto Mrs. Elizabeth Applebee< no role > Printer
for printing a Ream of Certificates on account of the
distempered Cattle and also half a Ream of certificates
on account of the Hides the sum of two pound and five
Shillings in full of her said demand whose receipt together
with this Order shall be a sufficient discharge to the said
Treasurer for such payment,

By Adjournmt. on Thursday the Sixth
day of Decemr 1750

Order for the Treasurer to
pay £217 to the Churchwds.
& Overseers of the parish
of St. Giles in the fields on
Account of Eliz. It was
delivered of a Bastard Child
in the sd. parish}

Whereas the Church Wardens & Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Giles in the field
in this County have Exhibited their humble
petition unto this Court Setting forth that
on or about the twenty fourth day of Septemr.
last as one Elizth. Jones< no role > Singlewoman was
wandring and begging in the said parish
she was Delivered of a Male Bastard Child
whereby she and her said Child be same Charges
able to the said parish, And that the Pets.
did detain the said Woman in Custody until
the twenty Ninth day of November last
when the Petts conveyed her before George
Errington Esqr . one of His Majesty< no role > 's Justices of
the Peace for this County who Examined her
and committed her to the House of Correction
