appointed to take care
of the distempered
Cattle in Middx}

A Bill of Mr. James Willder< no role > Clerk to his Majestys Justices of the
Peace appointed to use their and endeavour to prevent the Spreading of
the distempered amongst the horned Cattle in this County beginning
May 5th. 1750 and ending October 13th. in the Same Year being
laid before this Court amounting in the whole to the Sum of
£9.15s.10d. for his Service and Money alledged to have been by him
disbursed in relation to the Premises, In which Said Bill
(amongst other things) the Sum of three Pounds is charged in the
Said Bill for the Said Mr. Willders attending three days withthe
Inspectors at Barnet in Hertfordshire where Welch Fair was
kept in order to See thos the Same was not kept in Middx and to
examine the Certificates for such Beasts as Should be then
Sold & brought into this County, and to prevent any infected
Beasts coming therein, house hire & Expences, - This Court
upon Consideration of the Matter is of opinion that there was no
necessity for the said Mr. Willders attending with the Said
Inspectors at Barnet aforesaid upon the occasion aforesaid, And
doth therefore disallow the Said Sum of three Pounds, But as to
the residue of [..] Said Bill amounting to the Sum of Six Pounds
fifteen Shillings and ten pence this Court doth allow the same
And doth Order that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County do
pay that Sum unto the Said Mr. Willder in full of his Said Bill
whose receipt together with this Order Shall be a Sufficient
discharge to the Said Treasurer for Such payment.

Ann Style< no role > Matron of
the House of Correction
at Clerkenwell .}

Whereas there was payable from Mr. Thomas Cavenagh< no role > late
Keeper of New Prison at Clerkenwell in this County, Since deceased,
by vertue of his Appointment to be Keeper made by the Justices of the
Peace of the Said County, unto the Matron of the House of Correction
at Clerkenwell the yearly Sum of Ten Pounds as a Salary for her
trouble and pains inperforming the Business of Matron payable
to her by quarterly payments, And Whereas there was due and
owing from the Said Mr. Thomas Cavenagh< no role > unto Mr. Ann Style< no role >
present Matron of the Said House of Correction the Sum of fifty
Shillings for her trouble and paines in doing and performing the
Said Business of Matron for one quarter of a year ending at
Michaelmas now last which ought to have been paid but was not
