By adjornment on Thursday the 12th. Day of July, 1750 .

Order for Mr. Higgs the
Treasurer to pay to Saml.
Elson Bricklayer & John
Rayner Plumber Such
Sums of Money as Boulton
Mainwaring Esqr . Shall
certify to be due to them
respectively for Work &
Repairs done to Hicks hall
and the House of Correction
at Clerkenwell .}

Application being made unto this Court by Samuel Elson< no role >
Bricklayer alledging that the Sum of Nine Pounds one Shilling
and nine pence is due to him upon his Bill for Bricklayers
Work and Repairs by him done at the House of Correction at
Clerkenwell and also at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in this
County, and praying that this Court will please to Order that
the Same may be paid unto him; And also upon Application
made by John Rayner< no role > Plumber acquainting this Court
that the Sum of five Pounds one Shilling and ten pence
halfpenny is due to him upon his Bill for Plumbers Work
and Repairs by him done at Hicks Hall and also at the Said
House of Correction which he likewise prays may be paid unto
him, It is Ordered by this Court that Boulton Mainwaring< no role > Esqr.
one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace of this County be and
he is hereby desired to inspect the Said Bills, and to See
if the Work and Matters therein charged have been done
and performed in a Sufficient and Workman like Manner
And to Certify by writing to be by him Subscribed under
his hand what Sum of Money he in his Judgement thinks
fitting and proper to be allowed and paid to the Said Workmen
respectively upon their Said respective Bills, And It is
further Ordered by this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer
of this County do pay unto the Said respective Workmen Such
Sum of Money as the Said Boulton Mainwaring< no role > Esqr . Shall
So certify to be fitting and proper to be allowed and paid
to them respectively upon their Said respective Bills, And
that theSaidrespective Receipts of the Said Workmen together
with this Order Shall be Sufficient Discharges to the Said
Treasurer for Such respective payments.

Disbursements.}

It is Ordered by this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County
do pay unto Mr. Thomas Wilkinson< no role > the Sum of Three Pounds fourteen
Shillings and Six pence due to him upon his Bill beginningg 17th.
July 1749 and ending 7th. June 1750 for Moneys by him disbursed by
direction of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for printing in
Several Publick News Papers The Orders of Sessions for Suppressing
unlawfull Fairs, Advertisements against the Jubilee Masquerade
Ball at Ranelagh House in Chelsea, and for Several other Matters
And that his Receipt together with this Order Shall be a
Sufficient discharge to the Said Treasurer for Such payment.
