Order for continuing and
electing Thomas Lane< no role >
Esqr . to be Chairman of
the Court.}

His Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
assembled at this present General Session of the Peace this day
holden by adjornment for the County of Middx Do continue
and elect Thomas Lane< no role > Esquire to be Chairman of the General
Quarter and General Session of the Peace to be holden for the Said
County between Lady day One thousand Seven hundred and
fifty and Michas then next ensuing.

By adjournment on Thursday the first day of March 1749.

Order for Mr. Higgs the
Trearer to pay Several
Sums of Money to the
Inspectors appointed
concerning the distempered
Cattle.}

A Report being made unto this Court by Vigerus Edwards< no role >
Barwell Smith< no role > George Errington< no role > Boulton Mainwaring & Merry
Teshmaker Esqrs . being a Quorum of the Committee of his Majesty< no role > 's
Justices of the Peace of this County in this behalf appointed to inspect
the Account of the Inspectors employed to take Care of the distempered
Cattle in this County It appeareth to this Court that the Said
Committee have examined the Said Account and find the Said
Account to be true which amounts to the Sum of eighty Pounds
and ten Shillings, In which Account it is Mentioned that there are
due to the Said Inspectors (to wit)

Joseph Walker< no role > from the 7th. Septr. 1749
exclusive being 91 days at 5s. and for one day
miscalculated in the last account} £23.0s.0d

Edward Tomkins< no role > Ditto£23.0s.0d
Thomas Lane< no role > Ditto£23.0s.0d

John Westbrooke< no role > to the 7th. Octr 1749 exculsive
the time of his Death being 29 days and for one
day Miscalculated in the last Account at 2s.6d.} £3.15s.0d

John Westbrooke< no role > the younger from 7th. Octr 1749
the day he was appointed to 7th. Decr. 1749
both inclusive being 62 days at 2s.6d.} £7.15s.0d

This Court being Satisfyed of the truth of the Premisses Doth
Order that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County do pay unto the
Executor or Administrator of the above named John Westbrooke the
Elder the Said Sum of three Pounds and fifteen Shillings, and to the other
respective Inspectors above named the Said respective Sums written
over against their respective Names, which Sums of Money above
mentioned together amount in the whole to the Sum of Eighty Pounds &
ten Shillings, And the respective Receipts of the Execr. or Admr. of the Said
John Westbrooke< no role > the elder and of the Said other Inspectors together with this
Older Shall be Sufficient Discharges to the Said Treasurer for Such respective
payments.
