Upon the humble Petition of William Coomes High
Constable
within the Hundred of Gore in the County of Middx
exhibited unto this Court Setting forth that he hath severed the
said Office of High Constable
for the Space of three years &
upwards And that he hath discharged and paid all publick
moneys to the Treasurer of the Said County, And that the
Petitioner having extraordinary Affairs of his own to
transact and do humbly prays this Court to dismiss him
from the said Office of High Constable
, This Court being
Satisfied of the truth of the Premisses Doth appoint Thomas
Dowswell
of Hendon
within the Said Hundred in the County
aforesaid Gent
. to be High Constable
within the said Hundred
to Gore
in the place and Stead of the Said

And doth Order that the Said
Thomas Dowswell< no role >
do forthwith
(after Notice given to him of this Order) attend

three of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this County or one of
them or some other Justice of the Peace
for the said County
residing in or near the said Hundred, And that the Said
Thomas Dowswell< no role >
do forthwith before the said three Justices
or one of them or other Justice as aforesaid take his Oath for
his due Execution of the Office of High Constable
within the
Said Hundred of Gore
, And from and after the time of his
having taken such Oath the Said
William Coomes< no role >
is to
stand absolutely discharged from being High Constable
within the Said Hundred.
