Order for binding up the
Report of the Committee
of the House of Comons
[..] concerning the
complaint contained in
the petition preferred to
the Said House agt. the
Justices of the peace of
Middx, and for keeping
the Said Report among
the Records of the Sessions}

Whereas a Report of the Committee of the honble. House of
Commons appointed by Order of that House to examine
into the matter of a complaint contained in a Petition
preferred to the Said House of Commons against the
Justices of the peace of this County concerning Some
matters therein mentioned, was presented to the Said
Justices of the peace by the Speaker of the Said House, It is
Ordered by this Court that the Said Report be bound up
with a red leather cover over the Same with an inscription
on the outside thereof in golden letters containing the
words following of the gift of the right honourable
Arthur Onslow< no role > Esquire Speaker of the honourable House
of Commons And that the Said Report So bound up be
kept among the Records of the Sessions of the peace for
this County.

Order for Trear of
Vagrant money to
pay what Sum or
Sums of money Shall
appear to be due to
Wm. Bodkins< no role > & John
Carter late petty
Constables of Enfield
for the passing and
releiving of Vagrants}

Application being made unto this Court by William
Bodkins Petty
< no role > Constable of the parish of Enfield in this
County for the year 1735 and John Carter< no role > Petty Constable
of the Same parish for theyear 1736 alledging
that by the Order of George Bourne< no role > Esqr . & Harry
Gough Esqr . two of his Maties Justices of the peace for
the Said County residing in the Said parish they have
conveyed vagrants on to the place of their birth or
abode as the Law directs, but for so doing they cannot
obtain any money either from the high Constable or
the Treasurer for the Said County for their time and
expences, And they desireing to be paid the moneys
due to them for the Same, It is there upon Ordered by
this Court that John Higgs< no role > Gent Treasurer of the
moneys raised in this County for the passing and
releiving of Vagrants Do out of the first moneys
which is or Shall come to his hands for that use and
purpose pay Such Sum of Sums of money as Shall
appear to be due to the Said William Bodkins< no role > & John Carter< no role >
respectively for their trouble & expences in passing and
releiving of Vagrants, And that their respective
receipts together with this Order Shall be Sufficient
discharges to the Said Treasurer for Such payment.
