Order for altering the
time of holding the
next General Sessions
of the pence for Middx}

It is Ordered by this Court that the time of holding the next
General Sessions of the peace for the County of Middx (which
was intended to beginn on the twenty third day of August
1736) be altered, And that the Said next General Sessions
do beginn and be holden at Hicks Hall in Saint John
Street on Friday the third day of September next, and be
also there holden by adjornment on the fourth, Sixth,
Seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh days of
the Same Month of September, And that this Order be
printed in one of the publick News papers for the
better notification thereof.

At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord< no role > the
Kings, begun and holden for the County of Middlesex , at Hicks Hall in
St. John Street in the County aforesaid, on Monday the nineteenth day
of July in the tenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George
the second King of Great Britain France and Ireland Defender
of the faith, before the Justices next Undernamed and from thence
continued by several Adjornments untill this day to wit Thursday the
twenty second day of the same Month of July, in the Year aforesaid
And on the same day holden by Adjornment at Hicks Hall aforesaid
in and for the said County, before Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr . Sir . John Gonson< no role > Knt.

their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King, Assigned to keep the
Peace in the County aforesaid, And also to hear and determine divers
Felonys Trespasses and other Misdeeds, committed in the same County

Players.

This Court being Informed, that several Common Players of
Interludes have for, several Years, Used and Accustomed to Assemble
and Meet together, at or near a certain place called Tottenhoe , alias
Tottenhall, alias Tottenham Court , in the Parish of St. Pancras , in
this County, and to Erect Booths and to Act and Exhibitt Drolls, and
other Shows, and Use and Exercise Unlawful Games and plays,
Whereby great Numbers of his Majestys Subjects have been
Encourag'd to Assemble and Meet together, and to comitt Riotts and
other Misdemeanours, in breach of his Majestys Peace, and to the
Disturbance of the Neigbourhood of that place; And that some of the said
players of Interludes, and other evil Disposed persons are now
Seeking out, and Contracting for Ground in or near the Place
