And that the Said Committee (three of which to be a Quorum) be
and they are hereby empowered forthwith to carry the matter of
the Said Report into Speedy execution in the best manner they
are able according to the estimate & Design annexed to the Said
Report, and to employ & contract with workmen for that
purpose, And to See the Same fully & effectually done, And
that the Sum to be laid out in making the alteration aforesaid
and finding materials and doeing and performing the
work relating thereunto doe not in the whole exceed the
Sum of one hundred and forty pounds.

holden for this County by adjornment on Thursday the tenth day

this County or any three or more of them as a Comittee to
assemble & meet together, And to take a view of the Said
House of Correction , And to take to their Assistance Such able
workman or workmen as they Should think fit, And to see
if the Said House of Correction was out of repaire, and if any
and what repaires were wanting & necessary to be done
thereto, And if it Should appeare that the Same was out of
repaire Then to mak an Estimate of what it would cost well
& effectually to repaire the Same, And to make their Report
in writing touching the matters to them referred by the Said
Order, unto the Court of General Quarter or General Sessions of
the peace for this County, Now upon information given unto
this Court by the Said Nicholas Jeffreys< no role > Esqr . That the Said
Committee hath taken a view of the Said House of Correction ,
And that divers repaires are wanting & necessary to be done
thereto, And that it will not be convenient (In regard the
proper Season of the year is farr advanced) to proceed to do
and finish the repaires of the Said House of Correction
untill the next Spring, But that it is necessary that Some
Small repaires be in the mean time done thereunto to
