the Said Thomas Cavenagh< no role > Shall forthwith peaceably deliver up
and quitt the possession of the Said prison and the dwelling house &
buildings thereto belonging and the Said Garden Orchard and other
the appurtenances Together with the Prisoners committed to his
custody as Keeper of the Said prison and then remaining
undischarged to Such other person or persons as Shall be by the
Justices of the peace of the Said County or the major part of them
elected chosen nominated & appointed to be Keeper of the Said
Prison in the Stead & place of him the Said Thomas Cavenagh< no role > ,
And also that he the Said Thomas Cavenagh< no role > doe forthwith
enter into a Bond or obligation unto Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr . Robert
Hucks Esqr. and John Martin< no role > Esqr . Justices of the peace for the Said
County in the penal Sum of five hundred pounds with Such
Condition as is above written, In Testimony whereof wee
the Said Justices of the peace have hereunto Sett our hands &
Seales the twenty fifth day of April in the year of our Lord
one thousand Seven hundred and thirty four and in the Seventh
yeare of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second King
of Great Britain France & Ireland Defender of the Faith.

Know all men by these presents That I Thomas Cavenagh< no role > of the
parish of St. Giles in the fields in the County of Middx Gentl am
held and firmly bound unto Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr . Robert Hucks< no role > Esqr.
and John Martin< no role > Esqr . Justices of our Sovereign Lord< no role > the King
assigned to keep the peace in the County of Middx in five
hundred pounds of goods & lawfull money of Great Britain to be
paid to the Said Thomas Lane< no role > Robert Hucks< no role > & John Martin< no role > or to
their Attorney their Executors or administrators, To which
payment well & truely to be made I bind my Selfe my heires
Executors and Administrators firmly by these presents Sealed
with my Seale Dated the twenty fifth day of April in the yeare
of our Lord 1734 and in the Seventh yeare of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord< no role > George the Second King of Great Britain France &
Ireland Defender of the Faith.

Whereas the Justices of the peace for the County of Middx by
vertue of Letters Patent granted by his late Matie King James
the first have elected nominated & appointed the above bounden
Thomas Cavenagh< no role > to be Keeper of the prison called New Prison
at Clerkenwell in the Same County in the place & stead of Joshua
Walker
< no role > Gent deceased late Keeper of the Said prison To have
hold execute and enjoy the Said Office place or employment of
Keeper of the Said prison and the Dwelling house Orchard &
