Garden there and other the appurtenances and all profits comoditys &
emoluments thereunto due & of right appertaining together with
Such fees only for keeping detaining or releaseing of any person or
persons committed or to be committed to his custody as Keeper of the
Said prison as are already legally ascertained limitted or appointed
or which Shall be hereafter legally ascertained limitted or appointed
by Order of the Justices of the peace for the Said County in their
General Quarter Sessions assembled or to be assembled for Soe long
time only as the Justices of the peace of the Said County or the
major part of them Shall think fit and noe longer upon the
Condition hereafter expressed, Now the Condition of this
Obligation is Such That if the Said Thomas Cavenagh< no role > doe dureing the
time hehathShall continue Keeper of the Said prison keep his constant
residence & habitation at the Said prison, and well & honestly
demean himselfe in the said Office place or employment of Keeper,
and execute the Same in his owne person and not by Deputy, and
Safely keep all Such Prisoners as Shall from time to time be
committed to his custody untill they Shall be discharged by due
course of Law, And alsoe if he the Said Thomas Cavenagh< no role > doe &
Shall yearely dureing the time he Shall be & continue Keeper of
the Said prison pay the yearly Sum of thirty pounds of lawfull
money of Great Britain in manner following (to witt) ten
pounds a yeare part thereof unto the Matron of the House of
Correction at Clerkenwell in the Said County for the time being
untill further Order of the Court of General or Quarter Sessions of the
peace for the Said County to the contrary for & towards her Support
and maintenance by quarterly payments (to witt) at Midsummer
Michaelmas, Christmas, & Ladyday by equal portions, the first
payment thereof to be made at Midsummer next, and alsoe the
Sum of twenty pounds a yeare residue of the Said Sum of thirty
pounds a year to the Clerk of the peace of the Said County for the
time being or his Deputy by quarterly payments (to witt) at
Midsummer, Michaelmas, Christmas, & Lady day aforesaid by
equal portions (the first payment thereof to be also made at
Midsummer next) to be applyed as the Court of General or
Quarter Sessions of the peace for the Said County Shall direct for
repaireing New prison aforesaid and the dwelling house buildings
& appurtenances thereto belonging dureing Soe long time as
in & by an Order made at the General Quarter Sessions of the
peace holden for the Said County by adjornment on the fifth
day of July in the eighth yeare of the reign of his late Matie
King George the first is limitted & directed, And in case the Court
of General or Quarter Sessions of the peace for the Said County Shall
