given unto this court that the Said Joshua Walker< no role > hath
not Since the time of his being appointed Keeper of the
Said prison (to Witt) Easter Sessions one thousand Seven
hundred and twenty five paid the Said yearly Sum of
twenty pounds or any part thereof to the Clerk of the
peace of this County or his Deputy It is Ordered by this
Court that the Said Joshua Walker< no role > do forthwith pay
unto the Clerk of the peace of this county or his Deputy
the said yearly sum of twenty pounds now due and
in arreare And in case of his failure so to do that he
the Said Joshua Walker< no role > do attend the court of the next
General Quarter Sessions of the peace to be holden for
this County by adjournment on Thursday the fifth
day of April next at one of the clock in the afternoon
to Shew cause why the Bond by him given for payment
of the Said yearly Sum Should not be put in Suit
against him, and why he Should not be discharged
from his Said office of Keeper.

Whereas the Several Offices or places of Housekeeper of
the Sessions house called Hicks Hall in St. John Street in
this County and Cryer of the General Quarter and General
Sessions of the peace for this County are become Vacant
by the death of Christopher Seymour< no role > Gentleman late
Housekeeper of Hicks Hall aforesaid and Cryer of the
Said Sessions Now upon reading of the petition of
Thomas Bromley< no role > Gentleman and also of a Letter
from the Most Noble Thomas Holles< no role > Duke of New castle
Custos Rotulorum of his County Recommending the
Said Thomas Bromley< no role > as a person well qualified for
the Said Offices or places This Court being Satisfied of
the Character and abilities of the Said Thomas
Bromley hath thought fit, And doth hereby constitute
and appoint the Said, Thomas Bromley< no role > to be Housekeeper
of Hicks hall aforesaid and also Cryer of the Said
Sessions in the room and place of the Said Christopher
Seymour, To have hold execute and enjoy the Said place
