Hicks hall Etc}

Informacon being given unto this Court that Several Repaires are
wanting & necessary to be done to the Sessions house called Hicks Hall
in St. John Street in this County It is Ordered by this Court that it be
And It is hereby recomended and referred unto Simon Nichell< no role > William
Brooke
< no role > Robert Tothill< no role > William Hayton< no role > Thomas Robe< no role > and Andrew
Osborne Esqrs . Justices of the peace for this Country or any three or more
of them as a Committee to meet together, and to take a view of Hicks
hall aforesaid, and to take to their assistance Such able Workman
or Workmen as they shall think fit, and to see if any & what
repaires are wanting & necessary to be done to Hicks Hall aforesaid,
And if it Shall appeare that the Same is out of repaire Then to take
an account in writing of what repaires are wanting & necessary to
be done thereto, and to make an estimate of what it will cost well
& effectually to repaire the Same in a Substantial & Workman like
manner, And to make their Report in writing touching the
premises unto the Court of the next Generall Quarter Sessions of the
peace to be holden for this County.

Applicacon being made unto this Court by Mrs. Frances Seymour< no role >
wife of Mr. Christoper Seymour< no role > Housekeeper of Hicks Hall and Cryer of
the General Quarter & General Sessions of the peace for this County
informing this Court that She hath disbursed Several Sumes of
money for in ending the Clock in the Great Dining Room at Hicks
hall aforesaid and in paying the Salary allowed to the Clockmaker
for winding up and looking after the Said Clock from the twelfth
day of July One thousand Seven hundred and twenty nine to
the twelfth day of JanuaryApril one thousand Seven hundred and thirty one
twoand for Coales for Committee of Justices who have mett at
Hicks hall upon publick affaires, for which matters She hath
delivered ina Bill of particulars amounting in the whole to
the Sume of two pounds & nine Shillings, And prayed that this
Court would be pleased to Order that the Sume may be paid unto
her, It is Ordered by this Court that John Higgs< no role > Gent General
Treasurer of this County doe out of the publick money in his hands
pay the Said Sume of two pounds & nine Shillings unto the Said Mrs.
Seymour in full of her Said, bill, whose receipt together with this
order Shall be a Sufficient discharge to the Said Treasurer for Such
payment.
