Justices of the peace for this County in their said Several
parishes and Divisions forthwith to proceed according to Law
against those who neglect to hang out lights at or before
their doors or to contribute towards any publick lamps, And
to convict and levy on them the penaltys by Law appointed,
And It is further Ordered by this Court that a copy of this
Order be Sent to each of the Said Divisions,

upper part of the
Hay Market Etc}

Whereas the Inhabitants of the upper end of the Hay
Market in the parishes of St. Martin in the fields & St.
James within the Liberty of Westmr. in this County, whose
houses are excluded by the Toll post lately Sett up by Order
of Court, have applyed to the Committee of his Maties
Justices of the peace of the said County appointed to
Oversee the Said Hay-Market , And [..] insisted before
them that their houses are within the Limits of the
Said Hay-Market directed by an Act of Parliament
made in the eighth & ninth yeares of the reign of
his late Matie King William the third to be paved
& repaired out of the Toll money therein mentioned,
and that the charge of repairing the Pavements before
their doors ought to be defrayed out of the Same, and
that Such pavements were in a ruinous & dangerous
condition, And that they intended, to proceed at Law to
try the limits of the Said Hay Market , And It being by an
Order made at the General Quarter Sessions of the peace
holden for the Said County by adjornment on Thursday
the fifteenth day of October now last past recomended
& referred to the said Committee (interalia) to make a
further Inquiry upon Oath touching the Limits of the
Said Hay-Market Several affidavits were produced on
behalf of the Said Inhabitants in Order to make out &
ascertain the Same, And the Same being read unto this
Court And It appearing to this Court that the pavement
at the upper end of the Said Hay Market Soe excluded by
the said Toll post lately Set up is in a ruinous &
dangerous condition , It is Ordered by this Court that
