Lawton Esqrs . others of his Maties Justices of the peace for
this County (whom this Court doth add to & appoint to be
of the said Committee to Oversee the Said Hay Market ) or
any five or more of them beat liberty at any time
between this & the next General Quarter Sessions of the
peace for this County to treat agree & enter into a
contract with Mr. John Mist< no role > Pavior for the immediate
paving & keeping in repaire all or any part of that part
of the Hay-Market which now remains in a ruinous
condition and is [..] excluded by the placeing of
the said Toll post, for & dureing the remainder of the
terme of years for which the said John Mist< no role > hath by
Articles of agreement bearing date the twenty first
day of April One thousand Seven hundred and thirty
already agreed to keep the Said Hay-Market as therein
limited & defined in repaire, and under the Same
covenants & agreements, provided Such covenants &
Agreements do not Subject or make liable the Justices of
Sums of money whatsoever more than Toll or Duty
of the said Hay Market Shall annually produce within
the Terme to be contracted for over & above the four
Shillings in the pound payable to the Collector for his paines &
trouble in colecting the Toll & other incident charges, And It is
further Ordered by this Court that in case Such Agreement
Shall be made with the Said John Mist< no role > that the Said Committee
Shall have power to take up the Said Toll post and place it in
Such other Place as Shall be by them thought fit.
