Intituled to have or receive any or what Fees
by vertue or colour of the said Office, And alsoe
for defraying the Expences already incurred in
and about the defence of the Indictment,
preferred and prosecuted against the said Richard
Norwood by the said Patentees and of the Orders
of Sessions and Proceedings lately had concerning
the Said Clerk of the Market,

Order concerning
Mr. Joshua Walker< no role >
Keeper of New Prison

Upon the humble Petition of Joshua Walker< no role >
Keeper of New Prison at Clerkenwell in
this County exhibited unto this Court Setting
forth that the Petitioner on Saturday last
was Served with an Order of this Court for
the Payment of Twenty Pounds due at Lady
day one thousand seven hundred and twenty
seven as Keeper of the said Prison on Account
of Repairing the Same, and alsoe the like Sume
of Twenty Pounds due at Lady Day One thousand
Seven hundred and twenty eight upon the like
Account to Barwell Smith< no role > Esquire on or before
the First day of this present Generall Quarter
Sessions of the Peace, And that the Petitioner on
his first entrance on his said Office had the
keeping of such Prisoners as were Committed
to his Custody for Felony or Suspicon of Felony
(unless Indicted) soe that the Petitioner did then
receive their Fees, But by an Order of Court
since made at the Old Baily London the Petitioner
hath been obliged to deliver such Prisoners
together with the Copys of their Commitments to
the Keeper of Newgate Six days at least before
every Sessions, whereby the Petitioner intirely
