Quarter Sessions to be held for such County, City,
Town or Place where such Arrest or taking shall
be, who are by the said Act authorized and required
with all convenient expedition to make Some
Standing Order or Orders for ascertaining Such
expences, within their respective Countys or Precincts,
This Court in Obedience to and pursuant to the
directions of the said Act Doth hereby Order and
ascertain that the Bailiffs or Officers of the Sheriff
of this County for the time being, and alsoe the Bailiff
of the Liberty of the Dutchy of Lancaster at the
Strand in the said County for the time being and his
Under Bailiffs or Officers, and also the Bailiff of the
Liberty of the Mannor of Stepney in the Same County
for the time being and his Under Bailiffs or Officers,
and alsoe the Bailiffs Officers or Ministers of his
Majesties Pallace Court at Westminster and of the
Court commonly called Whitechappell Court in this
County legally arresting or detaining any Person or
Persons in this County in their respective Custodys
according to the said Act may take and receive of
any such Person or Persons soe legally Arrested
or detained the Sum of one Shilling for his or her
First Nights Lodging in a good Bed with Clean
Sheets at the House of Such Bailiff, Officer or
Minister and for every Night afterwards dureing
the Continuance of such Persons Confinement in
the Custody of Such Bailiff Officer or Minister the
Sum of Six pence, and for such Persons Dyet for
three Meals in each day and Small Beer
dureing his or her confinement as aforesaid the
Sum of one Shilling, and that noe greater Rates,
and Expences be demanded taken or received by
Such Bailiffs Officers or Ministers or any of them
of any Prisoner or Prisoners in their respective
Custodys for their Lodging Diet or other Expences
