making an
allowance to
Mr. Philip
Stothard Clerk
to the Trears
of the Hay
Markett}

Whereas in the Report of the Committee of
his Majestyes Justices of the Peace for
Examining and Settleing the Accompts of the
Treasurers and other Persons accomptable
to the Sessions of the Peace of this County
Mention is made that in the Accompt of the
Lord William Powlett< no role > and John Ellis< no role > of
St. James's Esquire Treasurers of the Toll
Money collected in the Hay Markett there
is Charged the Sume of Ten pounds per Annum
for Books Paper and Mr. Phillip Stothard< no role >
Clerk to the Treasurers who Examined
Weekly the Collectors Accompts and Posts
them in a Book, and that the same is a
new Article not charged before by any
former Treasurers, which the said Committee
leave to be allowed or disallowed as shall
be thought convenient, Now upon Informacon
given into this Court that the said Philip
Stothard is of great Service in examineing
and posting in a Book the said Collectors
Accompts as aforesaid and in taking Care of
the said Hay markett, This Court being
Satisfyed of the truth thereof Is of opinion and
doth accordingly Order that the said Philip
Stothard be continued in the aforesaid Service
for the space of one Year comencing from
Easter now next Ensuing at ten pounds per Annum
as a Salary for such his Service, and that he be
also allowed after the Rate of ten pounds per Annum
for his Service for the time past,
