have been brought into the said parish by passes from
distant Counties, And that the petitioner upon
makeing Application to George Bourne< no role > Esqr one of
his Maties Justices of the peace for this County to be
reimbursed his said expences was promised to be
allowed the same as his predecessor in the said Office
was allowed by order of Sessions which was Sixty
pounds P Annm, And that the petitioner hath not bee
reimbursed the said Expences or any part thereof no
had any Satisfaction or allowance for the same, And
the petitioner therefore prayed that this Court would
be pleased to Order that he may be paid the said Sixty
pounds P Annm from the time he hath been in the
said Office, or give him other relief in the premises,
Whereupon This Court on consideration of the matter
in question Is of opinion And doth accordingly Order
that the petitioner be continued in the busyness or
employment of passing and conveying of Vagrants
from Enfield aforesaid to London, or such other place
or places to which he ought to convey the same and
also of passing and conveying of Vagrants from
London to the County of Hertford, And that the
petitioner be allowed for such service the like Sum of
Sixty pounds P Annm by quarterly payments as was
allowed to his predecessor John Howett deceased to
be paid to the petitioner in such manner as the
Justices of the peace of this County shall by their
Order at their General or Quarter Sessions of the
peace in that behalf Order and direct, Upon Condicon
that the petitioner do relieve and convey such
Vagrants to the respective places to which they
ought to be conveyed, And It appearing to this
Court that the petitioner hath performed the said
service in conveying of Vagrants as aforesaid from
about Midsumer 1721 to Lady day 1723 being one
Year and three quarters This Court is of Opinion
that he be allowed for the same the Sum of One
Hundred and five pounds. And Doth thereupon
