and others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King assigned
to keep the peace of our said Lord the King within the said City
and also to hear and determine divers Felonies Trespasses
and other Misdeeds committed within the said City
Whereas by virtue of an Order pass Warrant under the Hands and Seals of
two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the City of London
and Liberties thereof
(one being of the Quorum) bearing date the Tenth day of May last Lucy Evans< no role >
the wife of William Evans< no role >
who hath deserted her and her two Children Thomas
aged Six Years and Elizabeth aged three weeks or thereabouts were removed and
Conveyed from and out of the Parish of Saint Catherine Coleman in the City of
London to the Parish of all Saints
in the City of Norwich as the place of their last
legal Settlement Now upon hearing the Petition and Appeal of the Church wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of all Saints
exhibited this Day
unto this Court against the Warrant and Judgment of the said two Justices
in the presence and hearing of the Church wardens and Overseers of the poor
of the said Parish of Saint Catherine Coleman It is by the consent of all
parties Ordered that the warrant and Judgment of the said two Justices be
quashed Vacated and set aside and that the said Appeal be allowed and
the same is hereby allowed accordingly And it is further ordered that the
said Lucy Evans< no role >
and her two Children Thomas and Elizabeth be forth with sent
back and delivered unto the Church wardens and Overseers of the poor of the
said Parish of Saint Catherine Coleman
to be by them maintained and
provided for untill they can free themselves from the charge thereof by due course
of Law And it is Further Ordered that the Church wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Catherine Coleman do forth with pay
or cause to be paid unto the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of all Saints
the Sum of Five pounds Thirteen Shillings and Nine
Pence for and toward, their charges and Expences in and about the Relief
and maintenance of the said Lucy Evans< no role >
and her two Children Thomas
and Elizabeth since their said Removal
