Who being on his Oath saith that he hath been employed as a Porter by Joseph
Lomas from about three Months before Christmas last. That the said Joseph
Lomas then lived in a Court in East Smithfield
and kept a Stall on Tower
Hill for selling of Earthen WareThat about Two Months before Christmas
this Informant engaged as a constant Servant to said Lomas at Two shillings
per Week and his VictualsThat soon after this Informant went into the
Service of sd. Joseph Lomas< no role >
heremoved into Norwich Court East Smithfield
That the said Joseph Lomas< no role >
hath frequently gone out of his said House of
an Evening and ordered this Informant to meet him in Swan Street
in the
Minories which this Informant hath accordingly done and hath seenwhenthe said

hathcome out of the Warehouse belonging to Messrs. Childs
Dealers in Earthen Ware in Company with Murty [..] Cairns the porter to the said
Messrs. ChildsThat upon sd. Lomas and Cairn's coming out of sd. Warehouse
they usually looked about some time in order Us this Informant apprehended
to see if any persons were passing in the Street and then returned again
into sd. Warehouse but in a short time sd. Lomas came out of sd. Warehouse
with a Basket containing Earthen Ware and gave the same to this
Informant in order to Carry to sd. Lomas's HouseThat the same
Transaction hath been very frequently repeated and this Informant
hath brought Earthen Ware from sd. Messrs. Childs Warehouse Three or
four times in every week during the time this Informant was employed by
said LomasThat said Lomas always carried the Basket Empty to
said Warehouse and told Informant to meet him in Swan Street
aforesaid
That when this Informant met the said Lomas in the day time he
always brought the Basket out of the Door belonging to sd. Warehouse in
Swan Street
but when Informant went there in the Evening sd. Lomas
brought the Basket out of the Door belonging to said Warehouse in
Goodmans Yard
but this [..] Informant was never permitted by said
Lomas to go into said WarehouseAnd this Informant further saith
that he hath frequently accompanied sd. Lomas's Wife
to the St. Lukes
Head public house in Old Street
where sd. Lomas's Wife
hath sold
divers quantities of Earthen WareThat about a Month or three Weeks ago
