Oath and saith That altho' this Deponent hath,
since the last April Sessions made many
Applications to the Proper Officers and Clerks
of HIs Majesty's Treasury in order to precure
his Majesty's Warrant for nominating and
appointing James Dyson< no role > Esquire Solicitor of the
Admiralty to litigate, on behalf of his Majesty,
the Probate (obtained by the Prisoner) of the Pretended
Will of James White< no role > late a Seaman belonging
to his Majesty's Ships the Portland and Hornet
deceased (for the Forgery of which Will it is
intended to indict and try the Prisoner) get that
the said Warrant was not ready to be delievered
as this Deponent was informed and believes, nor
did this Deponent procure the same until on or
about the Nineteenth day of this Instant May
