The King agst. James Maguire< no role >
For Felony.

William Younger< no role > Knight of Great Marlboro' Street
in the County of Middlesex Agent to the Solicitor
of the Admiralty Maketh Oath and saith That on or
about the Twenty ninth day of January last the
Prisoner James Maguire otherwise called Thomas
White was Committed by the Right Honble the Lord
Mayor of London on a Charge of taking a False
Oath in order to obtain probate of the last Will and
Testament of James White< no role > (his pretended Brother)
late a Seaman belonging to his Magesty's Ship the
Hornet deceased with Intention to receive the wayes
due for the Service of the said James White< no role > done on
board the said Ship And this Deponent Further saith
that it appearing by the Books of the said Ship that the
said James White< no role > was born at Chichester this Deponent
did a Day of two after the said Commitment write
a Letter to Mr. Johnson an Attorney at Chichester in
the County of Sussex with Instructions to set on Foot
An Inquiry by advertisements in the Chichester
Journal sticking up hand Bills & by all other Ways
and means in his power in order to Find out the next
of Kin or Relations of the said James White< no role > for the
purpose of instituting a Suit in the ecclesiastical
Court in the Name of such next of Kin for calling in
