lodged at the Bruton Coffee House Newgate Market Six
or Seven Nights after the Apprehension of Rogers, and
once at the Angel in Islington in the County of Middlesex
and that he this Examinant became acquainted with
the said Rogers by meeting him about three Weeks or a
Month ago in Cheapside in the said City, when the said
Rogers told this Examinant that he the said Rogers had
left his place in Friday Street , That he this Informant
never saw the said Rogers but once before and then at
a Country Wake, That the said Rogers asked this Exa-
-naminant in Cheapside aforesaid if he could recommend
him the said Rogers to a Lodging, to which Examinant
replied that he (Examinant) had a Bed at the said
Johnson's which he the said Rogers night partake
of with the Consent of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson. That he
this [..] Examinant did not perceive whether the said Rogers
was flesh or short of Money, tho' the said Roger once
borrowed a Shilling of him this Informant.That
he this Examinant had when he came to London
Seven or eight pounds which he got by hard Labor. That
he this Examinant had about ten Weeks ago when he left his last place ten
or twelve Pounds, and that he this Examinants has now
Eight or Nine Shillings. That he had a Coat lately made by
Jones of Round Court St. Martin le Grand in the said City
which cost about one Pound fifteen Shillings, That he this
Examinant of which the said Coal was made in Smithfield
of a Draper near the Hospital on the RightHand Side
of the Gate. That he this Examinant has eat and drank
at the Horse Shoe aforesaid and sometimes drank at the
Bell in Noble Street and at a House by the Corner of Flat
Market in the said City, and also at the Kingshead , he this
Examinant has drank Porter. That he thisExaminant
has drank part at the Eagle and Child in St. Martin le Grand
