The Information of William
Heritage taken upon Oath before me
William Blackborow< no role > Esquire One of His
Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and
for the said County This 27th. day of
January 1786

This Informant upon his Oath saith that on
Saturday the fourteenth day of January instant at about
the hour of Five of the Clock in the Evening he was employed
to Carry a Parcel of Copper & other Goods to Broad Street
and [..] Thames Street in the City of London by
Mr. William Cowland< no role > a Brazier of Aylesbury Street
Clerkenwell . That in Cheapsie Between Gutter Lane and
Foster Lane He was accosted by the Prisoner Simon
Solomons who said to this Informant. You seem to
have a very heavy load and likewise asked him where
he was going. Upon which this Informant told him
to Broad Street and Thames Street . The said Simon
Solomons then said he would give this Informant a
lift as far as Broad Street . This Informant then
said he should be glad if he would and he this
Informant would give him a Penny for a Glass of Gin
That the load was then lifted From this Informant upon
the Shoulders of the Prisoner the said Simon Solomons< no role >
(Who had a Knott and seemed like a Porter) by this
Informant and another Man who came behind him
That almost immediately after a Man fell down before
this Informant and between him and the said Simon
