Sarah his Wife for a Misdemeanor

Henry Sterne< no role > of Whitechapell Road in the Parish of Saint Mary
Whitechapell in the County of Middlesex Gentleman the above named
Defendant and George Hargrave< no role > of Princes Street Leicester fields in the said
County of Middlesex Cordwainer Severally make Oath as follow And [..]
the Deponent Henry Sterne< no role > for himself saith that Richard Wiltshire< no role >
of Red Lyon Passage Red Lyon Square Victualler is, as this Deponent
hath been in informed and believes, a very necessary and material Witness
for him this Deponent upon the Trial of this Indictment he the said
Richard Wiltshire< no role > being the person who received the Bank stock by
Virtue of an Assignment or authority to him for that purpose given
by one John Forster< no role > and is also as this Deponent hath been credibly
informed and believes acquainted with several other of the particulars
with which this Deponent is charged by the said Indictment to have
committed And this Deponent further Saith that he did last Week
Cause a Subpana to be issued out in Order to have a Copy thereof
served upon the said Richard Wiltshire< no role > so so that he might attend to
give Evidence or the behalf of this Deponent at the Trial of the
above matter at the present Session at the Old Bailey and Saith
that he this Deponent not only went last Week but several times
this Week and so lately as this Morning to the House of the said
Richard Wiltshire< no role > in Red Lyon Passage aforesaid and several other
places where he thought it likely or probable he should meet with
the said Richard Wiltshire< no role > but also sent the other Deponent George
Hargrave in Order to serve him with such Subpana but neither he
this Deponent or the said George Hargrave< no role > hath been able so to do,
he being informed by the wife of the said Richard Wiltshire< no role > (and
which information he believes to be true) That her Husband was
gone into the Country to transact some Business but what particular
part she did not Know, And that he told her before his departure
from Town that he did not purpose returning again to London before
the beginning of the Month of February next and that therefore
she did not expect him before that time nor could she, as the
said, give This Deponent any directions where he could either go or
