or Write to her said Husband, she being an utter stranger to the
particular place he was gone to And this Defendant George
Hargrave for himself Saith that he did at the request of Henry
Sterne the other Deponent go, on Saturday last as well as several
times this Week, to the House of Mr. Richard Wiltshire< no role > in Red
Lyon Passage Red Lyon Square in Order to Serve him with a
Subpana to attend at the Old Bailey this Session to give Evidence
in the above Matter on the part of the said Defendant when he
was informed by the said Mr. Wilkhire's Wife that her Husband
was gone into the Country upon Business but what Particular
part she did not know, and that before he set out on such
Journey he told her that he did not purpose Returning to Town
again before the beginning of the Month of February next on
expressed herself to that or the like effect And this Deponent
Henry Kerne< no role > for himself lastly Saith he is Advised and believes
he cannot with Safety proceed to take his Trial upon this
Indictment without the Testimony of the said Richard Wiltshire< no role >
and whose absence is the Sole Occasion of this Application to
the Court.
