For a Misdemeanor.

John Miles< no role > of White Street little Moorefield
in the said City Stable Keeper , and Daniel Gunston< no role > of
the Parish of Saint Martin Ludgate , London Gentleman
Who severally make Oath and say And Fields this
Deponent John Miles< no role > For himself saith, that some
time before May Session last, holden for the said City
of London he was bound over by a Recognizance in
the Penalty of ten Pounds, at the Guildhall of the
said City, to give Evidence against one James Logan< no role > , who
was on the same day committed For a Misdemeanor
in Fraudulently obtaining Money with Intent to defraud
and a Countryman was bound over to prosecute him the
said James Logan< no role > For such Fraud, at the said May
Session ensuing And this Deponent Further saith
that shortly afterwards, prior to the said May Session the
said Countryman, the Prosecutor so bound over as aforesaid
told him he Lord settled Matters with the said James
Logan
< no role > , and should not prosecute him, whereupon he
this Deponent told him he had done wrong, and
might involve him in a Forfeiture of his Recognizance
And this Deponent went immediately to the House
of the Deponent Daniel Gunston< no role > , of whom he
asked Advice what was to be done, and the said
Daniel Gunston< no role > told the said Countryman, he deserved
himself to be prosecuted for compounding the Fraud
aforesaid, and the Countryman said he had been persuaded
to make Matters up with the said James Logan< no role >
And the said Daniel Gunsten< no role > went in May Session
last, with him this Deponent to the Old Bailey , and
deponent waited at the door of the Court, untill the said Daniel
Gunsten returned and told him he had seen Mr
Shelton the Clerk of the Arraigns, and that he need
not Further attend And this Deponent Further
saith, that he was always willing and descreous to
assist in the Prosecution of him the said James
