Saith That on Monday
the eighth day of March last he inclosed in a Letter
directed to Messrs. Holmer and Co: at their Steel Yard in
Thames Street
London One half Share of a Lottery Ticket
in the Lottery of the Year 1783 Numbered 3m 989 and
One Quarter Share of a Lottery Ticket in the Lottery of the
same Year 1783 Numbered 28m 152 that he sealed
the Letters and about the Hour of Eleven o'Clock in the
Morning of the same Eighth day of March last and then
delivered the same into the Hands of the said Martha
Gibbon And the said Martha Gibbon< no role >
Saith that
immediately on Receipt of the same she delivered the said
Letter whole and unaltered and Under Seal as she
received the same from the said John Child< no role >
into the
Hands of Elizabeth Berry< no role >
now Elizabeth Thomas< no role >
at the Post Office
in Neath
aforesaid And the said John Child< no role >
further Saith he
believes that the said Letters was duly forwarded from
the said Post Office in Neath And that the same was
never delivered to Messrs. Holmer and Co to whom
directed but was feloniously Stolen by some
Person
