To the Worshipful his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the City of London and
Liberties thereof in their General Quarter
Sessions of the peace Assembled.

The humble Petition and Appeal of the Overseers
of the Poor of the Liberty of the Close of Sarum in the
County of the Wilts (their being no Church wardens of the
said Liberty)

Sheweth,


That by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the
Hands and Seals of Sir Watkin Lewes< no role > Knight and John
Burnell
< no role > Esquire two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the said City of London and Liberties thereof (one being
of the Quorum) bearing date the Third day of July 1784
Nathaniel Beckley< no role > was removed and conveyed from and
out of the parish of Saint Martin Ludgate in the said City
of London to the said Liberty of the Close of Sarum as the place
of his last legal Settlement.

Your Petitioner's conceiving themselves aggrieved
by the said Order or pass Warrant of the said two Justices
do humbly appeal against the same and pray that the
hearing and determining of the said Appeal may be Adjourned
untill the next Sessions of the peace to be held in and for the
said City of London and that the Court will be pleased to
appoint a day in the said next Session for the Overseers of
the poor of the said Liberty of the said Close of Sarum and
all other persons concerned therein to attend this Court to
hear and abide the Judgement and determination of the
said Court touching the said Appeal.
