To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Saint Martin Ludgate
in the City of London , and the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Saint Mary within the Close
of Sarum in the Country of Wiltshire
and to every of them.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto US, two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Martin Ludgate in the City of
London , That Nathaniel Beckley< no role > , a Lunatic
Furiously mad, did
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and is likely tobecome charge-
able thereto,unless timely prevented,which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of his Father John Beckley< no role > as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and we do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Nathaniel Beckley< no role >

to be in the said Parish of Saint Mary within the said
Close of Sarum
and that thither to he ought by Law to be sent

There are therefore in His Majesty's Name to will and re-
quire you the Church-Wardens and Oversees of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Martin Ludgate
London , forthwith to remove and convey the said Nathaniel
Beckley

from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of Saint Mary
within the Close of Sarum aforesaid
And him deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for him according and to keep [..] safety locked up and secured to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this 3d Day of July One Thousand
Seven Hundred and eighty Four .
