Pleas before our Lord the King at Westminister
of the Term of Easter in the Twenty third Year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and
Ireland King Defender of the Faith and in the Year of our
Lord 1783

Attorney against Matthew Cox< no role > and Stephen Alley< no role > of a Plea of
Trespasser

London to wit

the said Matthew Cox< no role > puts in his place Samuel Hoole< no role > his
Attorney And the said Stephen Alley puts in his place Joshua Rangs< no role >
his Attorney at the suit of the said William Tracey< no role > of the Plea
aforesaid

London to wit

Be it Remembered that in this same John before our Lord the
King at Westminster comes William Tracey< no role > by William Chipps his
Attorney and beings into the Court of our said Lord the King now
here his certain Bill against Matthew Cox< no role > and Stephen Alley< no role >
being in the Custody of the Marshall of the Marchalsea of our said
Lord the King before the King himself of a Plea of Trespass and
there are Pledges for the Prosecution there of to wit John Doe< no role > and Richard
Roe
< no role > which said Bill follows in these words to wit London to wit
William Tracey< no role > Complains of Matthew Cox< no role > and Stephen Alley being
in the Custody of the Marchal of the Marchalsea of our Lord the run
King before the King himself For that Whereas the said William
on the first day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand
seven hundred and Eighty three at London to wit at the Parish of
Saint Mary le Row in the Ward of Cheap was possessed of the Goods
and Chattles following to wit a certain Original Drawing Plan
or Design for raising aced salving a certain Ship of out Lord the
King called the Royal George One other Drawing of a Ship One
Painting. [..] One Picture of Ships One other Drawing
and one Plan Drawing a Design of a diving Machene of the Value
of One Thousand Pounds as of his own proper Goods and Chattles and
being so thereof possessed he the said William afterwards to wit on
the same day and Year aforesaid at London aforesaid in the Parish
