Informant Andrew Bateman< no role > for himself saith that yesterday Evening the Prisoners
Robert Pearson< no role > and John Booker< no role > came together into his Masters Shop
in Tower Street aforesaid and Pearson one of the said Prisoners
desired Informant to fit a Glass into his Watch which he took out
of his Pocket and gave Informant for that Purpose that Informant
accordingly fitted a Glass into the Watch that Pearson stoodofby the
right side of Informant and Booker behind him That Informant
was some time before he gott a Glass to fit, at which Pearson
expressed himself much surprised that Informant at that very instant
observed Booker move nearer to the Glass Case wherein Informants
Master kept his Watches that Informant then heard something rattle
against the Glass and Pearson at the same instant with a view
to engage Informant attention (as he verily believes) told him that
his Watch Key was bad and believed he must have a New one
That Informant [..] he should fit him one and the Prisoner
answered that he had one at home and that would do that the Prisoner
Pearson thereupon Paid Informant six Pence for the Glass and went
out with the other Prisoner That upon the Prisoners going out of the
Shop Informant observed that the Glass case was open and that
two Watches were missing. That Informant immediately alarmed his
Master and informed him of his suspicious of the Prisoners and went
out in Pursuit of them down Saint Dunstans Hill and over took them
