The Examination of Thomas Randall< no role > ,
apprehended by James White< no role > , a Constable of the Ward
of Castle Baynard< no role > , and brought before me, James
Townsend Esquire, one of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of
the Peace for the said City Who saith, that he hath
been informed, and he verily believes the same to be
true that he was born at Islington , and that he is the
Son of Thomas Randall< no role > , who Formerly kept the
Eagle and Child Alehouse, on the Ilford Road, and
who died about ten Years agoSays, he is about
twenty three Years of Age, as he verily believes
that he was bound an Apprentice to Mr Huntingdon,
a Taylor in Haydon Yard, Minories, to whom he
served the whole time of seven YearsSays he has
since worked in the Capacity of a Journeyman Taylor,
with sundry Masterswith Mr Rackett, in Hart
Street, Covent Garden , about two Monthswith Mr
Scott, on Tower Hill , about half a Yearwith Mr
Ireland , in Strand Lane , about two MonthsSays,
that he has worked for a Few days at a time, with
many other Masters, who sent for him at a House
of Call, the Sun in Old Round Court , Strand, all of
whose names he cannot recollect, but only a few,
namely, Mr Dobbins of Rood Lane, Mr Fell of
Saint Martin's Lane , Mr Jennings of Henrietta
StreetSays, that he worked at Mr Fell's the
better part of the last SummerSays, that he
has been constantly at work with sundry Masters,
untill about a Fortnight ago, when his last Master,
Mr Thornton, Taylor of Southampton Buildings ,
became a Bankrupt, since which he has employed
himself in jobbing for himself, except some part
of the Fortnight, when he was illSays he now
lodges at the House of Mrs. Lynch. in Bullen
Court, Strand, for which he pays Four Shillings
a Weekthat he has cohabited with Harriot
