bound an Apprentice to Wemyss Orrok, the Captain of a
trading
Vessel to Jamaica, for three YearsSays, that he
was, when bound, he believes, above sixteen Years of
AgeSays, that he served the three Years to Captain
Orrok, who after the Expiration of his Apprenticeship,
made him second Mate of his Ship, in which Capacity
he came from Jamaica to England about three Weeks
agoSays, that since his return to England, he has
lodged constantly at the House of Mr. Gilbert a Publican in
Golden Lane
Says, that he had three Guineas in his
Pocket when he came on Shore at Bell Wharf
, near
Shadwell Church
, and that he has since received of
Captain Orrok about six GuineasSays, that he has
subscribed for three Weeks last past, upon part of this
MoneySays, that he received from Captain Orrok at
Jamaica, in part of Wages, twelve Gallons of Rum, and
thirty Pounds Weight of Coffee, the former at Five Shillings
a Gallon, and the Coffee at a Bit per PoundSays,
that six Gallons of the Rum, were staved in a Gale
of Wind, and the remainder he drank on board before
his return to Englandthe Coffee was also lost in the
Gale of Wind
