[..] For himself saith, that on
Sunday Last about Twelve oClock at Noon, he was walking
along Fleet Street
, and between Chancery Lane
and Temple
Bar, he was tapped on the Shoulder by the other Informant
Stapleton, who asked him if he had not lost a
HandkerchiefInformant felt in his Pocket and Found
a Silk handkerchief, which a little before he had there,
missingStapleton told Informant he would take him
to the Persons who had taken his Handkerchief, and
they both proceeded up Chancery Lane

were the two Persons, who had stolen his handkerchief,

same is his Property, and of the Value of two Shillings

perceived the two Prisoner's witering in Fleet Street
and attempting to pick several PocketsSays, that
Larcher's hand was near Mr. Joy's Pocket, and he
saw him his hand closed as though there was something
in it, and the Prisoner put that behind himSays
that suspecting Larcher to have taken something out of
Joy's Pocket he told

Larcher throw the Handkerchief now produced into a
