Informant Elizabeth Griffin< no role >
for herself saith that on the
sixth day of June last the Prisoner Ann Speed< no role >
came to her Shop
in BishopGate Street
aforesaid and desired to look at a Hatt which
stood in the Window, that Informant chased it to her and the Prisoner
agreed to buy it for seven shillings that the Prisoner say'd that
she was married and that her name was Sharp and she lived
at a temporary lodging No. 104 in NewGate Street
at the Housethat the
Prisoner Worked at [..]
Haberdashery and
Millenary Goods to [..]
Shillings which the afterwds [..] Parish [..] that Informant made her out a Bill of Parcels and
gave her a Receipt for the amount thereof which the Prisoner
promised to Pay on the Delivery of the Goods at her said Lodging
at No. 104 in NewGate Street
aforesaid. That Informant gave
the several Articles which the Prisoner had agreed to Purchase
as aforesaid to the Informant Ann Gardner< no role >
who was to accompany
the Prisoner to her sd Lodging at No 104 and receive the Money before
the Goods were delivered
Informant Ann Gardner< no role >
for herself saith that she did
at the time above mentioned accompany the Prisoner and was
desired by her Mistress the said Elizabeth Griffin< no role >
not to deliver the
Goods without receiving the Money for which they were sold, That
Informant went with the Prisoner to a Court in NewGate
