the 17th. day of April 1781

Who on his Oath saith that he is a Smith< no role >
and lives in
Crown Alley Moorfields
, That on Wednesday the 11th. day of
April instant William Woolcot< no role >
and William Fearn< no role >
come to
this Informant's House< no role >
and applied to him to buy a quantity
of Iron, that they asked eleven Shillings a Hundred and this
Informant asked them if they wou'd not take Ten Pounds
P Ton for it. That on Friday following about 10 o'Clock
in the forenoon the said Woolcot and Fearn brought in a
Cart a Quantity of Bar Iron about Twenty one hundred
weight. That this Informant on seeing the Iron in the
Cart suspected it had been stolen and caused the said
Woolcot and Fearn to be taken into Custody.
