I Brackley Kennett Mayor of the City of London and
one of His Majesty< no role > 's Justices assigned to deliver the King's Gaol of Newgate for
the City of London of the Prisoners therein being Do hereby Certify. that it appears
to me by the Records of the Session of Gaol Delivery of Newgate holden for the City
of London at Justice Hall in the Old Bailey within the Parish of Saint Sepulchre
in the Ward of Farringdon without in London aforesaid on Wednesday the
Eighteenth Day of October in the Twentieth year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the third King of Great Britain Etc Before me the said Brackley
Kennettand others His Majesty< no role > 's Justices assigned to deliver the
said Gaol of Newgate of the Prisoners therein being that John Tate< no role > , Mary
Richmond, Charles Allen< no role > , Josiah Larcher< no role > , Joseph Dullage< no role > and John Ranson< no role >
were prisoners in the Custody of Richard Akerman< no role > This name instance is in set 4413. as Gaoler or Keeper of the Goal or
prison of Newgate for the said City charged with Felonies and that Mary Plankett< no role >
and Thomas Wild< no role > were also Prisoners in the Custody of the said Richard Akerman< no role >
as such Gaoler charged with Misdemeanors and that such prisoners being
severally Indicted for such offences were on Trial at the same Session severally
acquitted and were thereupon immediately discharged and set at Liberty in open
Court without the payment of any Fee or Sum of Money to the Sheriffs of the said
City or to the said Gaoler or Keeper of the said Gaol or Prison for or in respect of
such Discharge in pursuance of the Statute in such Case made and provided
And I do further Certify that it appears to me from inspecting the List,
of Fees allowed to be taken by the said Richard Akerman< no role > as such Gaoler
or Keeper of the said Gaol or prison that the Fee or Sum of Fourteen Shillings
and Ten Pence was payable to the said Richard Akerman< no role > for the Discharge
of the said Mary Plankett< no role > and Thomas Wild< no role > and that the Sum of
