this Inquisition (although after request) and also on the said
Monday next after the Feast of the Epiphany at London afsd.
That is to say in the Parish afsd. in the Ward aforesaid in London afsd.
to make his appeared as afsd. or to make any such Presentment
as aforesd. or his said office in any manner to execute voluntarily
obstinately & contemptuously hath altogether refused & denied and
Yet both refuse & deny against his said Duty In manifest Contempt
of our said Lord the King & his Laws To the bad Example of All
other in the like case offering and against the Peace of our said
Lord the King his Crown & Dignity And the Jurors aforesaid
upon theirOath aforesaid for there present that the [..] Hugh
Johnsonon the sd. 21 day of Decr.in that 19th year afsd. and long
before & always afterwards until the day of taking of this Inquisition
was inhabiting & resiant in the Parish of St.MaryClement East Cheep
within the sd. Ward of Langbourn
in London afsd. And that the said Hugh Johnson< no role > on the sd. 21st day of Dec.in the
19th year afsd. in the Court of Wardmote then holden for the said
Ward within the same Ward to wit atthe Parish of Saint Dionis Backchurchafsd.
was lawfully & in due manner elected into thesaidoffice of one of the
Wardmote Inquisition for the aforesaid Ward for one year then next
following for enquring of & presenting several offences committed with
the said Ward for the public Good where of the sd. Hugh Johnson< no role >
