Inquisition was inhabiting & resiant paying Seat & bearing Lot
within the Parish of Saint Element East Cheap in the Ward ofMary Wordsworth< no role >
Langbourn aforsd. in London aforesaid and that within the Ward
of Langbourn aforesd. there is and from the time
where of the memory of Man is not to the contrary there hath been a
certain Court of our said Lord the King & his predecassors called the
Wardmote held & to be held in every year upon the Foast of St. Thomas
the Aposth (unless the said Feast happened to be or fell on a
Sunday and in such Car upon the day next following the said feast)
before the Alderman of the Ward afsd. for the time being or his Depy
in which said Court according to the Custom within the [..]
for all the time aforesaid used & approved to wit in the said Parish of
Saint Deonis Backchurch in the parish of
in the Ward of a aforesd. All the Men inhabiting & resiant paying
Seat & bearing Lot for the time being within the Ward aforesd. have
been accustomed & ought & were bound by reason of their Residence
there to appear in the said Court and to their said there and in the said Court according to the Custom
the said Court Yearly for all the time aforesaid the Man inhabiting
& Resiant paying Scott & bearing Lot for the time being within
the Ward aforesaid were accustomed & ought to appoint &
choose diver or Person inhabiting & resiant paying Scot &
bearing Lot within the Ward aforsd. to be an Inquest in & for
