taken before me this 15th. day of April 1778

Who being upon Oath says that he is Linen Draper in Smithfield
that Yesterday a Woman now present who calls herself Alice Powell< no role >
came to his Shop and bought two Handkerchiefs, that he suspecting
she had stolen Something followed he out of the Shop and found
upon her Several Linen Handkerchiefs now produced which are
his property and were stolen out of his Shop
