saith that on Friday the third day of Febry inst.
abt.
a Quarter of an Hour after ten of the Clock in the
Evening as Dept. belives, Dept. on Hearing of a
great noise in the said Alley he bring in his
Lodging Room up two Pair of Stairstowent to
the Window and save great concourse of Men
who made a Noise, some of whom broke the
Window of a Victualler
[..] to Doptsappointe to the
sd. Hogsons House, after which Dept. saw same
of the sd. Men strike the deced several times
andbarldbreak his Lanthorn and the deceded
after fell to the ground and whilst the deced
lay onthe GroundDept. saw one Person strike him
several times with a Stick about his Head and
Shoulders and the deced groaned very much
but Dept. [..] could not single out any particular
Person who struck the deced this Dept. being
at such a Distance from the decd. and it being
dark but Dept. observed that the Person who so beat
him with a stick was a Littleman and had on
a light coloured Coat, say the deced was com
afterwards taken up and carried to the Wool-
Pack
in Half Moon Alley aforesd.and fourth

Says he hath seen the deced since his
Death at St. Bartholomew Hospital and knows
him to be the same Person who was beat and
abused as aforesaid.
