John Thompson< no role > Apprentice to Mary Chitty< no role > of
Lombard Street in the City of London Coal
Merchant maketh Oath and Saith that this
Deponent in May last having observed one John
Lynch
< no role > picking the Pocket of a Gentleman (whose
Name this Deponent at present doth not recollect)
under Newgate whereupon this Deponent gave
Notice to the said Gentleman that the said John
Lynch had picked his Pocket and the said John
Lynch was thereupon Secured and carried before the
Sitting Alderman at the Mansion House who
committed the said John Lynch< no role > to the Compter
and this Deponent saith that he was not afterwards
served with any Supoena or other Process or any
Notice to appear against the said John Lynch< no role > at
the Sessions in July last or at any other time
which is the sole and only reason why this
Deponent did not appear against the said
John Lynch< no role > And this Deponent further Saith
that it was not out of any Favor of Affection
for the said John Lynch< no role > that he did not
appear against him
