in the County of Surry

WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto Us,
two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
City of London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quo-
rum, by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Botolph Bishopsgate
London, That Elizabeth Cowdell< no role > This name instance is in set 911. This set is in the group(s): MothersPS . Singlewoman did

lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and is likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, us well upon
the Oath of the said Elizabeth Cowdell< no role > as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and we do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Elizabeth Cowdell< no role >
to be in the said Parish of Saint George
and that thither to she ought by Law to be sent.

These are therefore in His Majesty's Name to will and re-
quire you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Botolph Bishopsgate
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said Elizabeth
Cowdell
< no role > and her female Bastard Child [..] Susanna< no role > aged five Months for [..]
from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of
Saint George
And them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with
this our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive
and provide for them according to Law. Given under
our Hands and Seals, this Tenth Day of September
One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy two
