Henry Napier< no role > of London Mariner late Master of the Ship hereafter mentioned
Richard Pulling< no role > and Samuel Crow< no role > two of the Mariners
lately belonging to the Ship or Vessel called the Charming Nancy
whereof the said Henry Napier< no role > was lately Master severally make Oath and say
that on or about the Seventh Day of January last third were shipped or
loaded on Board the said Ship or Vessel Three Thousand Bushells or
Seventy five Tons of English White Salt at Liverpool in the County
palatine of Lancaster in order to be conveyed by Sea to the Port of London
for and an Account of Thomas Williams< no role > of London Merchant the
Owner of the said Salt and that the Duties for the said Salt had been
paid to His Majesty And these Deponents further say that on or about
the twentieth Day of the said Month of January the said Ship or Vessel
with the said Salt on board her sailed from Liverpool aforesaid for the
said Port of London and in the Course of her Voyage on or about the
twenty fourth Day of the said Month of January was by the Violence
of the Stormy Wind and Tempestuous Weather drove upon the Irish
Coast and on bearing away for the Harbour of Dublin the said Ship or
Vessel struck very hard upon the Sands near there called the Bar and knocked off her Rudder and
struck fast where she beat excessive hard and in every short time after
these Deponents and [..] the rest of the Crew had got into
the Boat the said Ship or Vessel brokes to pieces and prished at the
there By Means whereof all the said Salt so shipped or b [..] on
Board the said Ship of Vessel was totally lost and did parish at Sea upon
the said Sands.
